“Fluid, gorgeous, ravishing, ditsy, inventive, gritty elegant. The music casts an intimate spell” BOSTON HERALD

Folk legend and long-time contemporary singer–songwriter-guitarist-storyteller, Rush began his long, celebrated career as performer at a Harvard Square Open Mic while a student in 1960s Boston, championing the songs of Joni Mitchell, Jackson Brown and more as well as his own. James Taylor counts Rush as an influence on his music, as do other major artists.

Indeed, Rush’s impact on the American music scene has been profound. He helped shape the folk revival in the ’60s and the renaissance of the ’80s and ’90s, his music has left its stamp on generations of artists. Not only James Taylor but Emmylou Harris, Tom Petty and Garth Brooks have cited Tom as mentor. His early recordings introduced the world to the work not only of Mitchell and Taylor, and subsequently he brought attention to emerging artists Nanci Griffith, Shawn Colvin and others.

After more than five decades writing and playing on stages worldwide, he still does what audiences love him for…passionately, tenderly, and with great charm, good humor and undiminished chops…knitting together the musical traditions and talents of our times. An evening with Tom Rush is a night to cherish and remember!

“Probably the only man alive who should be allowed to sing Joni Mitchell songs” CHICAGO TRIBUNE
