It Came From Schenectady and Union College Film Studies present “Pandora’s Box” (1929; Silent w/LIVE score by the Metamorchestra)

The iconic Louise Brooks stars in this brand new, full-length restoration of the incredible tale of the rise and inevitable fall of an amoral but naive young woman whose insouciant eroticism inspires lust and violence in those around her.

Encapsulating the promiscuity of the Roaring 20s, Brooks IS Lulu— a woman so beautiful and alluring that few can resist her siren charms.

The second of 3 entries in our “Performing Cinema” series, the screening will be followed by a Q&A led by composer and educator, Timothy Dunne. As with other ICFS events, expect prizes, surprises and a convenient bar. Sorry, no sofas for this one.

1929. Not rated. 141 minutes.
