ICFS Presents: Altered States

Thursday, April 18, 2024

Presented by ICFS

A research scientist (William Hurt) explores the frontiers and boundaries of consciousness. Using sensory deprivation and hallucinogenic mixtures from native American shamans, he explores his altered states of consciousness, finding that memory, time and perhaps reality itself are just states of mind. The always controversial Ken Russell (“The Devils;” “Crimes of Passion”) directs this Oscar nominee from a script by Paddy Chayefski (“Network;” “The Way We Were”). As with other ICFS events, expect prizes, surprises, comfy sofas and a convenient bar.

1980. Rated R. 102 minutes.
